Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to support accurate, timely, and reliable data management across all project activities. The role involves the systematic collection, entry, validation, and storage of program data from field and facility-level sources into designated databases and digital platforms.
The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with program, M&E, and case workers to ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability for reporting, decision-making, and donor compliance within our communities across Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim, Ini, Ikono, Obot Akara and Ibiono Ibom LGAs in Akwa Ibom State, in the Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria (CCCRN), US/DOS Transforming Health and Resilience through Vibrant Empowerment (THRIVE) project.
The THRIVE project is a US/DOS five years funded project targeted at the UNAIDS 95-95-95 goals for case identification, enrolment to treatment, and retention in care.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update data accurately into organizational databases and systems
- Verify data for completeness, correctness, and consistency
- Maintain and organize both electronic and paper records
- Support data cleaning and validation processes
- Generate routine reports as required by program teams
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information
- Collaborate with program staff to resolve data discrepancies
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/NCE or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
- At least 1–2 years experience in data entry or administrative roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Desired Skills
- Experience with data collection tools (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox and other relevant data collection and management tools)
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems
- Strong computer literacy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
